Green Party T.D. for Carlow/Kilkenny Mary White T.D. opened a major conference on housing and planning design in Kilkenny this morning, telling the conference that there has never been a more pressing need for reform of housing and planning policies in Ireland.

Green Party Deputy Leader Mary White TD has reiterated the need to conserve energy and to cut down emissions in 2008.
Deputy White said, “For the first time in the State’s history the Green Party has delivered a Carbon Budget. This was to set out plans and targets to cut carbon emissions in 2008 and to integrate climate change considerations into the Government’s budgetary policy and decision making processes.”
